Food Additives (uses other than as flavouring agents) Database
This database contains the most recent food additive specifications of JECFA for uses other than as flavouring agents. You can search the database using (1) the name or ID number, (2) the functional use and / or the purity criteria; (3) you can also retrieve all the specifications designed as tentative. For ID number searching use either the International Numbering System (INS) number adopted by the Codex Alimentarius Commission or by Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) number. This is by the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives (JECFA).

This handbook provides basic facts regarding foodborne pathogenic microorganisms and natural toxins.  It also includes protozoa, parasitic worms, and toxins such as the aflatoxins, liver-wrecking poisons exuded by fungi that grow on peanuts and corn. For each kind of food poisoning, a just-the-facts chapter describes symptoms, transmission, infective dose, treatments, and recent outbreaks.
