- Finding articles - Databases
are useful to identify articles in journals, papers in conference
proceedings, chapters in books, reports and reviews. This are also
known as Index and Abstract. It will provide citations (the source
of the article), abstracts (brief descriptions of the articles

articles from databases summarize the current state of research
on a subject by organizing, synthesizing, and critically evaluating
the relevant literature written for specialists. The bibliography
in a review article is usually exhaustive.
- Methods for scientific laboratory
investigations - also known as Protocols. These are manuals

new as well as tried-and-true methods.
- Encyclopedias & Dictionaries
are a collection of informational articles on any given subject.
- Handbooks provide find formulae, definitions
