Digital Media Gallery and NUS Channel now available
via Digital Library

Digital Media Gallery (DMG)
The DMG is jointly developed by CIT and NUS Libraries as a central repository for:
a) selected digital audio visual works in the library collection, and
b) audio visual works created by the various teaching faculties within the campus.
In addition, DMG also offers a collection of images, animation and text files.

DMG provides two interesting features:
a) The time stamp index which serves as a bookmark to segment the video content based on the time indices, and
b) The keyframe indices which provide a quick overall summary of the video. The keyframes are sized according to the duration of the program.  By clicking at a particular frame, the program will playback from that frame.

Currently, the bulk of the audio and video contents were selected from the library audio visual collection.  A simple search facility is provided to search across all the contents in the DMG. Teaching staff can make use of the DMG interface to select digital resources from the DMG for integration into the IVLE.

NUS Channel
The NUS channel, a component of the NUS CAST, is jointly hosted by CIT and NUS Libraries. The objective of this channel is to webcast NUS live events and programs produced by local televison stations featuring NUS and its staff.  The NUS channel is dedicated to broadening the access to and appreciation of the video collection.  This channel provides an avenue to access content in the Digital Media Gallery as well as to experiment with new methods of digital broadcast.
