list below includes new legal databases subscribed by the NUS
Libraries.
2007
LawInfoChina
This
is a full text database for Chinese legal information. It gives
access to laws & regulations, cases, legal news.
Other areas covered include Tax
Treaties (full text), WTO & China , Gazettes (table of contents of a
number of the most important gazettes), table of contents of leading
Chinese law journals.
2006
Manupatra
Covers legislation, case law and other reports from India. The
legislation includes Central Bare Acts (including amending acts of
2002- & the repealed acts); rules, regulations, etc; ordinances
(from 2001- ); old unrepealed ordinances (1940-1948) & bills in
Parliament; committee reports. It also includes case law
of the Supreme Court and 21 High Courts. The coverage starts as
early as 1950. Other reports include those from various Tribunals,
Commissions & Committees, e.g. Central Administrative Tribunal,
Company Law Board, Law Commission, etc.

CELEX (Official
Legal Databases of the European Communities)
This database is provided by The Office for Official Publications of
the European Communities and the information is drawn from each of
the principal institutions of the European Union (the Commission,
Council, Parliament and Court of Justice). Coverage of some
documents starts as early as from 1951 but others have been added
more recently. This title was previously available as a cd-rom title
at the C J Koh Law Library.
EJC (European Court
of Justice) Proceedings
This database contains the Proceedings of the European Court of
Justice and is provided by The Office for Official Publications of
the European Communities. It provides information on the judicial
proceedings of the Court of Justice and the Court of First Instance,
including short summaries of judgments, and brief notes on opinions
delivered by the Advocates-General and on new cases brought during
the previous week. Coverage is from the last week of 1996 to the
present. Updated irregularly. This database is provided as part of
NUS Libraries subscription to CELEX.
Law Reports (1865- )
This database contains the complete text of the Law Reports. Updated
monthly. (This web database replaces the NUSNET CD-ROM on Windows
title called Electronic Law Reports).
Times Electronic Law
Reports
This database contains the full text of cases reported in The
Times newspaper. Updated every two weeks. (This web database
replaces the NUSNET CD-ROM on Windows title called Times Electronic
Law Reports). July

Lloyds
Law Reports (Register
for first-time user)
This database provides access to about 17,000 key maritime and
commercial cases from 1919 onwards. The areas covered include shipping;
carriage by sea, road and air; product liability; marine insurance; sale
of goods; arbitration, practice and procedure; banking. Recent cases are
added as and when they are published.
(This web database replaces the NUSNET CD-ROM on Windows title called Lloyds
Electronic Law Reports - Justis LR).

to Singapore Subsidiary Legislation (1981-1991)
This Index covers the period prior to the publication of the
"Revised Edition of Subsidiary Legislation of the Republic of
Singapore" in 1991. This electronic version replaces the
original card index.
Indobizlaw
Provides access to key Indonesian business legislation (Undang-undang)
and government regulations (Peraturn Pemerintah) and some important
lower-level decrees (Keputusan). English translation of each
legislation is available. The database includes relevant new
legislation and also important older legislation. Existing
legislation are revised regularly and consolidated. The database is
updated regularly (usually fortnightly).
LawNet
(Malaysia) (Register

LawNet provides access to Malaysian legislation (including acts supplement,
bills supplement, by-laws, rules and regulations, legislative
supplement, etc.); Gazettes (including Federal and selected state
gazettes); Privy Council Judgments and Istilah Undang Undang (legal terms).
Weekly
Law Reports
This contains the complete text of the Weekly Law Reports, published by
the Incorporated Council of Law Reporting for England and Wales. The
coverage is from 1953 onwards.

WorldTradeLaw.Net
Provides free access to resources on
primary source documents related to international trade law; a
full-text search engine for GATT/WTO decisions; a large collection
of links to other sources of information on the web; and a
discussion forum. In addition, the library has subscribed to Dispute
Settlement Commentaries. This includes summary and critical analysis
of all new WTO Panel and Appellate Body reports as well as summary
and analysis of past WTO reports. An index of legal provisions and
terms for these reports are also included.
