Critical Evaluation of Resources

In today's information age, you will be able to find a wealth of information in books, periodicals, databases and on the Internet. However, not all information you find on your topic will be suitable. How do you analyse and judge the quality of your information sources?

In evaluating your resources, you may wish to consider the following general criteria :

Authority

Accuracy

Objectivity and Purpose

Review process

Suitability

Timeliness

In addition to the above, you will also need to consider a few other criteria when evaluating Internet sources.
