Book Title
Search
Click on
Title to
choose to search for book titles and
journal titles.
At the search box, type in the
complete title or as much of the beginning of the
title, e.g. integral urbanism.

matched exactly, the complete record is shown.
Sometimes there are different editions of the same
book in the Library.
Take note of the Location and
Call #, e.g. CL Books NA9050 Ell 2006.
Click on

Note that the underlined text
are hyperlinks, e.g. you can click on a specific
underlined subject to see records of materials in
LINC with the same subject.

Journal Title Search
With a citation in hand, how
do you check if the NUS Libraries has the article in
its collection. E.g.
Varchon N. Optimal
measures for nonlinear cost functionals.
Appl Math Optim.
54 (2006), no.2, 205-221.
Click on
Title to

At the search box, type in the
complete title or as much of the beginning of the
title. E.g. Applied mathematics and optimization.

If you only have an
abbreviated title and do not know the complete
title, check
Journal abbreviations for the complete title.
E.g. Appl Math Optim.
Title Search Tips
If the title you typed can be
matched exactly, the complete record is shown.
To know what volumes the
library has, check the line LIB HAS. E.g. 1(1974)-56(2007)- means that the NUS Libraries
has Vol. 1 published in 1974 to current.
Note that the underlined text
are hyperlinks, e.g. you can click on a specific
underlined subject to see records of materials in
LINC with the same subject.
To see the
NEW issues
received by the library, click on Latest
Received at the full record display.
Take note of the Location and
Call #. E.g. CL Current Journals QA402.5 AMO.
Issues with the status
ARRIVED are available in Current Journals.
To return to journal full
record, click on Regular Display.
To see the
OLDER issues
available in the library, click on View
additional copies or search for a specific
volume/copy at the full record display.
All the bound volumes
available in the NUS Libraries is then listed. Bound
volumes may be kept in Bound Journals or Closed
Stacks.
Browse the volumes to find the
desired volume and take note of the Location and
Call #. E.g. CL Bound Journals QA402.5 AMO.
To search for a specific
volume or year of publication of the journal, type
the volume number or year in the box next to View
additional copies or search for a specific
volume/copy and press Enter.
To return to journal full
record, click on Regular Display.
If the library has subscribed
to the electronic version of the journal available
on the Web, the message Click on the following
to: View the electronic
version appears in the full record. Click on
it to view the journal on the Web. Please note that
you must be logged in to NUSNET to view electronic
journals and some require you to create a userid to
access the full text.
Click on
Another Search
to do another search in the same option or click on
Start Over to choose another option to
search.
