Book Selection in NUS Libraries
We welcome academic staff to select books to add to the NUS Libraries collection. When you find relevant books for the course you are teaching or for your research in NUS, send us your requests and we will do our best to acquire them, subject to the limitations of the budget.
Here are some ways you can identify relevant books and send your requests to the NUS Libraries.
Book Vendors Websites
You can search or browse the following online catalogues with publications from various publishers which are accessible to NUS Libraries:
BookFind-Online
Search BookFind and send your selections to the acquisitions librarian in the library that serves your department. You will need to login with your NUSNET userID and password. Check the guide for details.
Kinokuniya
Login to Kinokuniya Bookweb Pro, make your selections using the Shopping Cart and send them to the NUS Libraries. Check the guide for details and to get the user id and password to use for Bookweb Pro.
Publishers Websites
You can search or browse the following individual publishers:

- Cambridge University Press
- Greenwood Publishing
- Harvard University Press
- John Benjamins
- Kluwer
- MarketAsia Distributors
- Oxford University Press
Make your selections using their Shopping Cart and send it via email to the acquisitions librarian in the library that serves your department. Use your web browser menu bar, File -> Send -> Page by E-mail. Check the guide for details.
Electronic Forms via Library Portal
If you already have the book details at hand, you can submit requests using the NUS Libraries Electronic Forms for Staff. Do note that if you encounter a login screen, please enter 'nusstf\' (for staff) or 'nusstu\' (for students) in front of your userid.
NUS Libraries Acquisitions Staff
You can send your requests (with course details) directly to the acquisitions librarian in the library that serves your department.
