New databases on Library Web
Business Periodicals Ondisc (BPO) which contains full text articles from many business journals, is well-used by our Biz Ad students and lecturers. Due to heavy demand, they always need to make an advance booking to use BPO.
Good news! There is no need to queue to access full text business articles any more. The NUS Library has subscribed to ABI/Inform and BPO through Proquest Direct.
When retrieving a citation record from ABI/Inform and the full text article is available, it can be viewed and printed from your desktop.

SPIN (Searchable Physics Information Notices) is a bibliographic database with abstracts on
physics and astronomy. It includes all journals and proceedings published by the American Institute of
Physics and its ten member societies. Full text articles from the journals of AIP and the American Physical Society are linked to SPIN. This means that you can go from a retrieved citation to the full text article on your desktop. In addition, the references of the retrieved citation are linked to the abstracts in the SPIN and INSPEC databases, and to the full text articles if available.
Bibliography of Asian Studies (BAS) is one of the standard bibliographical tools in the field of
Asian studies. It is now accessible through the Web. BAS contains 420,000 references to books, journal
articles, individually-authored monographs, chapters in edited volumes, conference proceedings,
anthologies, etc. published since 1971. It contains only bibliographic information with no full text.
