New Head for Digital Services
Mr Ng Kok Koon, Principal Assistant Librarian, is appointed Head of the newly created Digital Services Division, with effect from 1 August 1998.
He joined the Library as an Assistant Librarian in June 1984 after getting his M.A. from the University of Chicago. Kok Koon was first posted to the Central Library and subsequently to the Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library from 1987 to July 1990. He became Head of Science Library in July 1990 and held the post until July 1998.
As the Head of this new Division, Kok Koon aims to further improve the digital collection and online services offered by the Library. With the help of all the library staff, he hopes to bring the NUS Library closer to its vision of a digital library.
