Insert the Index disk into the CD drive. Double-click on the Justis 5.0-Celex/ELR icon. It has a blue J and a red 5 in a circle. The Justis 5 screen appears briefly. If CELEX, another database using the Justis software, was last used, the Database Manager screen appears. Click on the Cancel button to get the Select Database(s) screen. There are two main boxes on the screen, one on the left and one on the right. The word CELEX will be in the right hand side (rhs) box. Click on CELEX, then on the Remove button below the box. On the left hand side (lhs) box, you will see a list of databases, including Case Reports. Click on + on the left of Case Reports to show another list, which includes electronic Law Reports.
Click once on Electronic Law Reports to highlight it, click on the Select button below the box. On the rhs box, you will now see Case Reports with electronic Law Reports below it and nothing else. Click on the OK button. The Copyright screen appears. Proceed as from *. If the Electronic Law Reports was last used, the Warning screen appears instead of the Database Manager screen. Click on the Register button, then on the Cancel button of the Register Database screen to get the Copyright screen. * Click on OK of the Copyright screen, the Search screen appears. You can start searching. Before you double-click to access the full text of a document you have retrieved in your search, take out the Index disk, and insert the other disk. To view another profile of the same search, click on the Profiles button of the tool-belt at the top of the screen, click on the required profile and double-click. To do another search, put back the Index disk.
After you have finished your search session, click on File, Exit, then double-click on Program Manager.
