You can now access NUSNET-II from home with the right equipment and software. Go to the NUS homepage (http://www.nus.sg), click on IT Resources and then click on Dial-up . Look for pcANYWHERE Users and follow the instructions given to download a copy of the software.
To use pcANYWHERE, you need Windows 3.x or Windows 95 and a high speed modem (at least 28.8 kpbs). With pcANYWHERE installed on your home computer, login to NUSNET-II, access Windows Shopping and you can use utilities like CD-ROM on Windows, CD-ROM Access, Library InfoGate and Dow Jones provided by the Library. However, note that you have to re-shop for the utilities you want every time you login.
