The staff of Medical Library agree that our users had been a fantastic lot during the renovation period which was finally completed on 2 September 1996.
We are aware that the last few months had been quite disruptive for Medical Library users, with workers rushing to meet deadlines, relocated temporary library exits, power outages, early library closing due to the very strong odour from the floor treatment, etc. Inspite of all the unpleasantness, our Medical Library users had shown a great deal of tolerance and cooperation during these difficult situations.
Presently, there may be some minor fixing here and there which should not be disruptive to users of the library. Until the compactus shelving arrive, we have set up the new extension as a temporary reading area for users.
