Delving into the annual reports of Raffles College, it was mentioned in the 1937-38 report that
'A dwelling house and grounds, No. 5 Cluny Park and situated adjacent to the college grounds, was purchased by the College as a Staff house'.In the 1946-47 report, it was reported that
'..to utilise the President's House (never used as such and converted into lecture rooms and offices) to accommodate the Library, which was transferred there on the completion of the necessary structural alterations in June 1947. For the first time in its history, the College can now rejoice in a suitable library building with adequate accommodation and reading rooms'.Subsequently, the Library is often mentioned as being at No. 5 House.
