You have made an excellent choice by coming here to study at the National University of Singapore.
You now have access to the resources of the largest academic library in Singapore!
The NUS Library comprises the Central Library, Chinese Library, Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library,
Law Library, Medical Library and Science Library.
The Central Library's collection covers the humanities, social sciences, engineering, architecture, building and real estate.
Students are entitled to use the resources in all the six libraries.
During the next few years, you will need to use the Library frequently in connection with your studies
and research as well as reading for personal growth. How effective a user you will be depends on how much you know
about accessing the materials within the library as well as the wide range of electronic resources we offer on NUSNET, the campus network.
You will certainly want to acquire basic information searching skills.
We invite you to attend the library orientation planned especially for you. It will introduce the library's resources and services.
In addition, you can visit LION (Library Online Instruction), a Web site with instruction on how to use the resources available in NUS Library, which you can explore at your leisure.
Make sure you get a copy of the NUS Library Guide when you matriculate.
It contains information about library resources and library rules.
The NUS Library awaits your discovery and help is always available from staff at the Information Desk in all the libraries.
