New CD-ROMs in Law Library

Family Law Library of Singapore

Contains the full text of three books by Leong Wai Kum, Principles of Family Law in Singapore; Butterworths' Annotated Statutes of Singapore Volume 6; Family and Cases and Materials of Family Law in Singapore. The CD-ROM enables a user to access all parts of the three books through hypertext links. It is published in 1999 by Butterworths Asia. The software used is Folio Views 4.2.

Index to Canadian legal Literature. 1987-

This is a bibliographic database which provides indexing of journals, law reports, books, book reviews, theses, essay collections and Canadiana Forthcoming Books. The records pertain to articles, monographs, case comments, annotations, seminar proceedings, as selected by the legal editors of ICLL. There are approximately 50,000 records. It grows by over 5,000 records per year usually in blocks of approximately 700 every six to seven weeks.

The CD is produced by Carswell, Thompson Professional Publishing. The software used is SilverPlatter WinSPIRS Version 4.0. The CD is updated 8 times per year.

Laws of Malaysia on CD-ROM

Contains the full-text of the following:

  1. The Federal Constitution
  2. All 581 Acts under the Laws of Malaysia Series in full text, annotated and updated as at 30/6/98, including:
    • an alphabetical table of statutes hypertext-linked to the text
    • a chronological table of statutes hypertext-linked to the text
    • a subject group index hypertext-linked to the text
  3. A table of other Federal Laws, including:
    • an alphabetical table of statutes
    • a chronological table of statutes
  4. A table of Amending Acts, including:
    • an alphabetical table of statutes
    • a chronological table of statutes
The software used is Folio Views 4.11. The CD is updated quarterly.

The titles are Legal Trac and Lloyd's Electronic Law Reports.
