Mr Hon Sui Sen (16 Apr 1916-14 Oct 1983) "Hon Sui Sen, [Singapore’s former Minister of Finance from 1970-1983] had devoted 44 years of his life serving the nation, first as a top civil servant then as a senior cabinet minister. During that time, he played a major role in Singapore’s industrial development and banking activities. He helped to consolidate Singapore as an international financial market and restructured the control and supervision of the stock market.
