  Q. How do I pay my fines?

There are several ways to pay your library fines: by cashcard / Ezlink, by cheque or by cash.

By cashcard / Ezlink
Please use a common bearer cashcard / Ezlink for payment in the library.  You will be prompted to enter your matriculation/staff/library membership card number and the fines will be deducted accordingly from the card.  Please ensure that you have sufficient funds in your cashcard / Ezlink.

Cashcard and Ezlink payments are available at Central Library, C J Koh Law Library, Hon Sui Sen Memorial Library and Medical / Science Library. Music Library has cashcard payment only.

By cheque
You may write a cheque for the total fines amount to "National University of Singapore" and hand it to the library staff at the Loan Desk of any of the six NUS libraries. You can also mail the cheque to:

Senior Librarian, Loans and Membership Services
Central Library
National University of Singapore
12 Kent Ridge Crescent
Singapore 119275

Please be sure to write your name and membership number on the reverse side of the cheque. Payments made by cheque will only be credited after clearance by the bank.

By cash
Please request for an invoice from the Loan Desk of any of the seven NUS libraries or from the Student Service Centre at Yusof Ishak House.

Fill in the invoice and bring it along to the Student Service Centre to make the payment. To clear fines immediately, return a copy of the invoice to the Loan Desk. Otherwise, the fines will be automatically deducted from your account the next working day after 1.00 pm.

Please keep your receipt as proof of payment.

If you require further assistance regarding the payment of fines, please do not hesitate to approach the library staff at the Loan Desk (or to call 6872-0236 during office hours).
