Q. When accessing the Web of Knowledge, I encounter the error message "Your session has expired."

This error message may be due to the cache settings on your browser.   

  1. Adjust your cache setting
     
    In Internet Explorer, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Temporary Internet Files 'Settings' --> Check for newer versions of stored pages 'Every visit to the page.'
     
    In Netscape 6, go to Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Cache --> Compare the page to the new page on the network 'Every time I view the page.'
     
  2. Clear your cache
     
    In Internet Explorer, go to Tools --> Internet Options --> Temporary Internet Files 'Delete files' --> select the box labelled "Delete all offline contents."
     
    In Netscape 6, go to Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced --> Cache --> Click 'Clear Memory Cache' and 'Clear Disk Cache.'
     
  3. Exit from the browser
     
  4. Restart the browser again
