You may access SciFinder Scholar from off-campus using NUS-VPN.  Please ensure that you have:

1. Downloaded and installed the SciFinder Scholar software and saved the site.prf file in your C:\SFSCHLR directory. 
    

2. Downloaded and installed NUS-VPN, which is available from http://www.nus.edu.sg/vpn/. 

   Please note the following when using NUS-VPN:

   • It is not necessary to set your browser's proxy to the NUS automatic proxy configuration if you are connecting via your own Internet Service Provider (ISP). 
      

   • After installing NUS-VPN, you may be prompted to restart your computer.  You will need to establish an Internet connection before launching the NUS-VPN client.
      

   • Please select the correct connection entry "outside-nus" if you are connecting from off-campus.
      

   • When prompted for your NUSNET ID and password, it is not necessary to include your domain information in front of your login ID, i.e. nusstf or nusstu.
