• Expedia Resources has sections on World Guide, Hotel Directory and Sidewalk City Guide. Includes currency converter and weather watch. Maintained by Microsoft.

• Fodor's Travel Online has a Resource Centre for travel tips, links. It also allows you to create your own miniguide to a particular destination.

• Frommer's BudgetTravel Online features interesting articles and useful travel information for those planning an "affordable leisure travel."  It contains tips on cost-saving, vacation ideas, and links to online booking partners for airfares, lodgings, cruises and car rentals.

• Let's Go is written by backpacking students who write about their travels to exotic and not so exotic destinations. They give the low-down on what to see, where to eat, where to stay, etc. for the budget conscious.

• Lonely Planet is a producer of 'down-to-earth travel information, designed to kickstart your travels and help you on your way.' It has write-ups of selected destinations, with a section for places that are off the beaten track for the more adventurous.

• NetGuide Travel Guide by CMP Media Inc. provides travel information such as travelogues, cruise and adventure tour information, discount travel, online booking, etc.

• Time Digital: Travel by Time, Inc. features travel websites such as airlines, hotels, online travel guides and ticketing agencies.

• The Rough Guide is a great place to check for information on what to do and where to go, often with opening hours and prices given. Guides are available for USA, Europe, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong and India.

Travel Information

• Columbus World Travel Guide features an alphabetical index of countries with lots of practical information about the destination such as geography, holidays, visas, accommodation, history & government, climate and social profile.

• Excite Travel features a searchable database of over 14,000 destinations as well as the ability to search for the lowest airfare on the Internet.  It also has a bulletin board and chat room, as well as useful travel information such as travel literature, tourist attractions, weather and preparation for travel, etc. 

• Go Travel by InfoSeek has lots of rated and annotated information on travel topics and vacation planning.   It also provides weather report, currency converter as well as low airfare search.

• Lycos Travel features short introductions to the country with links to information about the place, including its history and things to do when you get there.  It also provides a translation service for translating phrases and webpages from English to Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese and vice-versa.

• Shoestring Travel : the e-zine of inexpensive travel aims to help people travel inexpensively. It has feature articles on places to visit, with a collection of Travel Links and Web Picks.

• Thomas Cook provides information on special offers as well as holidays for various categories of potential travelers, flight information and travel guides.  It also has a currency converter and travel articles in Suitcase, their online travel magazine.

• TimeOut: the World's Living Guide has lots of information on accommodation, restaurants, getting around. It also has links to relevant Web resources such as weather, travel booking and currency converter.  

• Travel.com by Travel Online presents over 209,000 subject categories with links to over 1.4 million sites.  It also features a forum or bulletin board where travelers and travel agents exchange information.

• Travel.org : the directory for travel organises its links by continents and under each country, it gives many links to information about the country, including travel stories and articles.

• Traveler.Net has Destinations, Activities and Adventure that you can check out. Maintained by Cahners Travel Group.

• Travelers' Tales Books has a Web Tour which gives links to relevant information on selected destinations.

• Webcrawler Travel has links to their selection of sites for many countries and travel-related sites.

• Yahoo : Recreation : Travel gives links organised into categories like budget travel, travel tips and currency exchange.
