United States

• Library of Congress Z39.5 Gateway allows you to search the Library of Congress catalogue, many libraries in the United States and some from other countries with Z39.5 catalogues.

• MELVYL is part of the California Digital Library which features the library collections of the University of California and other libraries.  It consists of the MELVYL Union Catalog (CAT) with over 9 million unique titles and the California Periodicals Database (PE) which is a union database of over 814,000 serials in California libraries.

• LibCat : a guide to library resources on the Internet allows you to search for a library's catalogue, with listings by country inside the United States and others. It also has introductions to what catalogues are, how to use them, and many other

• National Libraries Catalogues Worldwide is maintained by the University of Queensland Library.   Features links and instructions on searching library catalogues.

• Online Catalogs with Webbed Interfaces have WWW forms-based interface to search for books, net resources, etc. Maintained by North Carolina State University.

• Online Library Catalogs by Galaxy provides links to library catalogues of many countries, including the Americas, Europe/Scandinavia, Asia/Pacific/South Africa.

• University of Virginia's Catalogs Around the World has links to catalogs in selected countries.
