  • Carnegie Mellon University English Department
    This site which is maintained by the English Department of Carnegie Mellon University, provides a comprehensive list of links to English literature and language resources. Topics included are drama, fiction and poetry to name a few.
  • Eighteenth century studies
    Part of the English server archive maintained by Carnegie Mellon University, this page provides visitors with a list of writings from the 18th century. Visitors can peruse poems, treatises, novels, plays, etc.
  • Electronic Text Center
    The Electronic Text Center at the University of Virginia provides access to over 1,200 titles of literary works, including classic British and American fiction, children's literature and Shakespeare.  Available for online viewing or download for the MS Reader.
  • Literary resources on the net
    Maintained by Jack Lynch at the English Department of the Newark campus of Rutgers University. This site, which has almost completely superseded the previous one maintained by him at University of Pennyslvania, has a collection of links to those dealing especially with English and American literature.
  • Reference sources for literature in English
    Contains bibliography of reference sources in English-language literatures (focusing on American and British literature) that are available at Haverford College’s Magill Library
