  • Biblio Tech Review features news, analysis and comments on library automation, software, business and reviews.
  • Computers in Libraries is a "monthly journal that provides complete coverage of the news and issues in the rapidly evolving field of library information technology."   Published by Information Today.
  • Database "provides practical, how-to advice on effective use of databases and systems, plus innovative tips and techniques, reviews, and product comparison. It covers databases in online, CD-ROM, disk, and tape formats, and resources on the Internet."   Published by Online Inc.
  • LITA Newsletter is a quarterly publication of the Library and Information Technology Association of the American Library Association. 
  • Online "provides articles, product reviews, case studies, evaluation, and informed opinion about selecting, using, and managing electronic information products, plus industry and professional information about online database systems, CD-ROM, and the Internet." Published by Online Inc.
  • Searcher : the magazine for database professionals 'includes evaluated online news, searching tips and techniques, reviews of search aid software and database documentation'. Each issue has selected full text articles with abstracts for others.
  • TER: Telecommunications Electronic Reviews seeks to "review and point to materials that relate to networking and telecommunications."  Published by the Library and Information Technology Association (LITA) of the American Library Association (ALA).

Digital Initiatives

  • Journal of Digital Information is a peer-reviewed Web journal focused on the management, presentation and uses of information in digital environments.  Maintained by the British Computer Society and Oxford University Press.  Requires one-time registration.
  • Library Journal Digital is the digital offshoot of the Library Journal from the American Library Association. You can find selected articles from News, Book reviews, Infotech, Editorial and WebWatch.
  • RLG DigiNews is a quarterly web-based newsletter intended to focus on issues of particular interest and value to managers of digital initiatives with a preservation component or rationale.   It provides filtered guidance and pointers to relevant projects to improve our awareness of evolving practices in image conversion and digital archiving.  Produced by Research Libraries Group in cooperation with the Cornell University Library Department of Preservation and Conservation.

  • AsianDOC Electronic Newsletter is a quarterly newsletter that aims to support scholars, librarians, and researchers who are interested in Asian language and studies.  Also includes information on conferences, resources and interest groups.
  • Issues in Science & Technology Librarianship is a quarterly publication of the Science and Technology section of the Association of College and Research Libraries.  It publishes materials of interest to Science and Technology librarians. 
  • LC Cataloguing Newsline is the "online newsletter of the Cataloguing Directorate."   Maintained by the Library of Congress.
  • Library Media & PR : strategies, techniques, resources, tips & tools for library communication is produced by Stephanie Stokes. It has tips on how to promote your library with special emphasis on California in USA.

Reviews/Research

  • Booklist is the digital counterpart of the American Library Association's Booklist magazine for reviews of the latest books and electronic media. Includes some feature articles, bibliographies and author interviews.
  • Katharine Sharp Review is an e-journal to showcase research in library and information science by students. The journal is published by the Graduate School of Library and Information Science, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
  • INSPEL, the International Journal of Special Libraries, includes papers written or proposed for publication by the members of the IFLA Division of Special Libraries.
