Indexes thousands of academic journals in virtually every discipline in the social sciences, including demography, economics and statistics. Its unique feature is the ability to trace related articles, using a citation as a starting point.

Newspapers and Electronic Journals

Press Clippings in the Singapore Malaysia Collection is a useful source for topical and current information, which are not available in journal articles or books. Articles on Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei and ASEAN from The Straits Times and Business Times are arranged by subject. A copy of Press clippings subject headings is also available there. Some relevant headings are: Economic conditions, Labour, Public finance.

LexisNexis Academic is an online source where you can search for and obtain the full text newspaper articles from Washington Post, Financial Times and other newspapers and journals. The Straits Times and Business Times available from May 1992.

Factiva is another online source where you can search for and obtain the full text newspaper articles from New York Times, Financial Times and other newspapers and journals. The Straits Times and Business Times available from Jan 1995.
